Behavioral Health Services in Arlington, Texas
Millwood Hospital offers a comprehensive continuum of care for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults with psychiatric or substance use problems. A multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals provides 24-hour mental health treatment and supervision in a structured environment for patients who need intensive chemical dependency or behavioral therapy. Ongoing care is provided through discharge planning to facilitate a successful adjustment back to daily activities.
Therapy groups are offered to identify, discuss and explore new ways of addressing problems and specialized groups are designed to meet the specific needs of each patient type. Additionally, Millwood Hospital offers a TEA-accredited school for children who are currently enrolled in elementary through high school.

Children and Programs (Ages 5-17)
Behavioral health issues can affect people of all ages, including children and teens. Early intervention can be key to their recovery. Millwood Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient care for children and adolescents ages 5 to 17 in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan area.
Inpatient treatment options
Inpatient treatment for children and teens focuses on immediate crisis stabilization and resolution with round-the-clock care.
Teen detox program
Millwood Hospital offers a detoxification program for teens ages 12-17 struggling with substance use. Our goal is to help students identify difficult emotions that substances often numb or suppress, learn healthy coping skills and develop a relapse prevention plan.
Outpatient treatment options
Millwood Hospital offers Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for children and adolescents through the Branches centers.

Inpatient treatment options
We provide 24-hour treatment and supervision in a structured environment for patients experiencing a crisis, seeking recovery after a crisis or struggling with substance use issues.
Outpatient treatment options
Outpatient treatment (IOP and PHP) for adults at Millwood is provided by Branches, and consists of group therapy that uses evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Senior Adult Programs
Millwood Hospital provides older adults with mental health treatment that is focused on the unique challenges faced by seniors as they age.
Inpatient treatment options
We offer a 16-bed inpatient unit for round-the-clock senior adult mental health treatment that includes holistic mind-body care, music therapy and recreation therapy.
Outpatient treatment options
Outpatient programs for seniors are available through the Branches centers located throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan area.
