Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

Intensive Outpatient Program for Children, Teens and Adults

Millwood Hospital and Branches offer intensive outpatient programs (IOP) that provide treatment for patients experiencing emotional, behavioral and/or chemical dependency issues in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan, Texas, area.

This program is less intensive than partial hospitalization but is more intensive than traditional outpatient therapy. It is designed to provide crisis stabilization and resolution of immediate problem areas.

Family Participation

We consider family participation to be vital in treatment and follow-up care, and some of our intensive outpatient psychiatric programs have family groups and family therapy designed to involve your loved ones in the process.

This is entirely optional, of course, and something that should be discussed between you and the treatment team.

Referral Partners That Work With You and Your Patient

Referring professionals are invited to participate in treatment as well. With the patient’s permission, referring professionals are continually updated on progress in our IOP mental health program and the individual is referred back for follow-up care.
