Millwood Hospital offers a comprehensive continuum of care for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults with psychiatric or substance use problems. A multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals provides 24-hour mental health treatment and supervision in a structured environment for patients who need intensive chemical dependency or behavioral therapy. Ongoing care is provided through discharge planning to facilitate a successful adjustment back to daily activities.
Therapy groups are offered to identify, discuss and explore new ways of addressing problems and specialized groups are designed to meet the specific needs of each patient type. Additionally, Millwood Hospital offers a TEA-accredited school for children who are currently enrolled in elementary through high school.
At Millwood Hospital, we understand there are times when people need additional support and therapeutic guidance to overcome challenges and events in life.
The Excel Centers provide short-term outpatient treatment for all ages — children, adolescents, adults and senior adults.
The programs offer intensive therapy that may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solution-focused therapy and motivational interviewing.
The program’s goal is to provide structure and support so patients can return to their daily lives as quickly as possible.
