Treatment & Services

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at Branches Arlington provides participants with structured group therapy and education, as well as weekly individual and family therapy sessions as needed.

Mental health treatment is provided in an interdisciplinary manner, utilizing licensed therapists, a nurse and a physician. The patient is considered a part of the team in determining treatment goals. A psychiatrist is the leader of the treatment team and oversees all aspects of treatment, including medication management.

The Partial Hospitalization Program operates:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for mental health
  • Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for chemical dependency

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Branches Arlington offers treatment for emotional, behavioral and/or substance abuse problems. Less intensive than partial hospitalization but it more intensive than traditional outpatient therapy, this program is designed to provide stabilization and resolution of immediate problem areas.

The family is involved in the treatment process, as we consider family participation to be a vital link in treatment and follow-up care.

Referring professionals are invited to collaborate with the patient and the treatment team. With the patient’s permission, these professionals are continually updated on the patient’s progress and the individual is referred back to the professional for continued follow-up care.

The Intensive Outpatient Program operates:

  • Mental Health — Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Chemical Dependency — Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Second Chances (PHP/IOP)

The Second Chances Program is an adult outpatient program for those individuals that continue to have repeat hospitalization, non-compliance with medications and schizoaffective disorder. The program focuses heavily on activities of daily life to help reduce repeat hospitalizations. The program typically lasts from 6 to 12 weeks.
